Shoe production technician

To continue this journey, we are looking for a shoe production technician for our subsidiary EDELRID Slovakia s.r.o. in Slovakia as soon as possible.

Position Overview

The production line technician will be responsible for setting up and maintaining a new production line at our production facility in Slovakia. This role involves ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production line, troubleshooting technical issues, and working closely with the production team to meet quality and productivity targets.

Establish New Production Line: Plan, set up, and test the new production line for climbing shoes, ensuring all machinery and equipment are installed correctly and safely.

Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support to ensure the production line operates efficiently, addressing any mechanical or technical issues promptly.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on production line equipment to prevent downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.

Quality Assurance: Work with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet the company’s high standards for quality and consistency.

Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.

Training: Train production staff on the operation of new equipment and production processes.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and modifications, as well as production line performance metrics.

Qualifications:

Technical Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.                                                                                  

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the footwear or textile industry.

Technical Skills: Proficient in the use and maintenance of production machinery and equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Language: Proficiency in Slovak and English; knowledge of German is a plus.

Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours are needed to meet project deadlines.
